Marshall University Football is entering the upcoming college football season with a fresh new look.
On Saturday night, the university unveiled an all-green helmet across its social media platforms — a design not seen on the field since 2009. The Thundering Herd has traditionally worn white helmets, occasionally rotating in black or alternate versions. Marshall will open the season on August 30th in Athens, Georgia, with a high-profile matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs. The home opener follows one week later, when the Herd hosts Missouri State.
