The website Niche released its ranking of top colleges for 2026, and two universities in West Virginia made the list. The best colleges in the US for 2026 include the University of Charleston with an overall A-. UC received particularly high scores for diversity, dorms and safety. Overall, UC was ranked #202 in America. West Virginia University ranked second in the state and also received an overall A-, ranking high with student life and professors. WVU ranked 238th in America overall.
