Fifteen-year-old Barack Williams has been found guilty for his role in the 2024 shooting death of a tobacco store clerk. A Kanawha County jury found Williams guilty of murder during the commission of a robbery in a trial surrounding the death of 19-year-old Caden Martin at the Tobacco & Pipes shop in Charleston. Williams was tried as an adult. Prosecutors claimed Williams, then-14, acted as a lookout while BreāJuan Williams-Hampton robbed the smoke shop before killing Martin. Williams-Hampton has already been sentenced to life in prison for the shooting. He will be eligible for parole after serving 15 years.
