The old Milton Elementary School is getting a second life, as a new community rec center.
The building was vacated after part of it was found to be in a flood zone, and that section is now used for storage. The rest is open for basketball, dodgeball, birthday parties, and theater.
A local theater group is already rehearsing there, and the city is renting out rooms and selling old furniture to help with costs.
They’re also building an arcade.
Weekday activities are free and open to all ages.
