West Virginia University announced that the Backyard Brawl with Pitt will be extended for another four years, covering the 2033 through 2036 seasons. The renewed series will alternate home fields — starting in Pittsburgh in 2033 and then moving to Morgantown in 2034, back to Pittsburgh in 2035, and closing out at Milan Puskar Stadium in 2036.
This comes on top of a previously announced four-game series set to begin in 2029, making for eight more meetings between the two schools over the next decade.
The Backyard Brawl dates back to 1895. It was played annually until 2011, then returned in 2022 and has been held each year since.
