Dozens arrested as part of felony warrant sweep

A federal enforcement effort has led to dozens of felony arrests in southern West Virginia. Operation Rolling Waters ran from Aug. 5-30, leading to 74 arrests along with the seizure of three points methamphetamine, 60 grams of fentanyl, 25 grams of crack cocaine, 13 guns and nearly $12,000 in cash, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service. The news release said two convicted sex offenders have been federally indicted as part of the operation. Several agencies assisted in the investigation, including West Virginia State Police, deputies from Fayette, Greenbrier, Jackson, Kanawha, Logan, Mason, Mercer, Putnam, Raleigh and Wyoming counties along with police officers from Beckley, Fayetteville, Lewisburg, Parkersburg, Princeton, St. Albans and South Charleston.
