A Tennessee man accused of trying to kill two people in Mason County by beating them with a hammer has been indicted by a grand jury. Kenneth Connell of Bush Creek has been indicted on two counts of attempted murder and two counts of malicious assault. Mason County Court records said in April, deputies responded to an assault reported along Tribble Road in Leon where two victims were found. Deputies said interviews with witnesses and one of the victims connected Connell to the incident.
Connell is scheduled to appear in Mason County Circuit Court on Sept. 16.
