Nine people were arrested in an investigation into a drug trafficking organization in the Huntington area in September. The investigation and arrests, and also resulted in the seizure of 27 firearms and more than a half-pound of various drugs, according to a news release Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Of the nine arrested, four were included in a 27-count federal indictment and two people indicted on charges in West Virginia. WCHS TV said the Huntington Police Department, U.S. Marshals Service and Federal Bureau of Investigation assisted in the operation, and the investigation is ongoing.
