State Police say 61-year-old Willie Lee Washington of St. Albans is charged with battery and assault of a disabled child.
According to a criminal complaint, the incident happened on September 5th. A mandated reporter contacted authorities, claiming Washington grabbed the student roughly under the chin. After the child was released and tried to run away, investigators say Washington threw the student to the floor.
