An access road to New River Gorge National Park and Preserve is closed for the time being. The Cunard access road has been closed for safety after a “failure of road” at a construction sight, according to a Facebook post from the park. That’s the access road just past the Brooklyn Miner trailhead. Crews will have to repair a large slip in the road, and it’s expected to remain closed until next spring, according to the park. Both the Brooklyn Miner and Kaymoor trails are still open.
