Accused car burglar is nabbed in St. Albans

A Lincoln County man is behind bars after police say he was caught taking items from cars in St. Albans early Tuesday morning.
23-year-old Jacob Burns of Branchland was arrested on Pennsylvania Avenue and charged with three counts of auto tampering.
Officers were called after neighbors reported a suspicious man walking around their property. When confronted, the man ran off, but police later found Burns with property believed to be stolen from several vehicles.
Some items have been returned, but others remain unclaimed. Anyone missing belongings is asked to call the St. Albans Police Department.
Burns is being held on a two-thousand-dollar bond.
