A former Ravenswood City Council member already facing embezzlement charges is now facing three new misdemeanors.
48-year-old Denise Toler was charged with battery, public intoxication, and obstruction after an incident at a Ravenswood High School football game on September 26th.
Police say Toler accused a group of juveniles of stealing her daughter’s football, then allegedly grabbed and shook one of them. Officers noted signs of intoxication and say she tried to walk away during questioning.
Toler was released on $1,000 bond. She’s also awaiting trial on embezzlement and computer fraud charges.
