The Boone County Quick Response Team helps people who have suffered from overdoses and helps people navigate through their addiction. WCHS TV talked with the program director, who said they do a lot of Narcan outreach, other harm reduction items within the county and help operate a 12-step faith-based recovery program. The QRT had to halt operations last week because of a delay in funding and the government shutdown, but the Boone County Commission stepped in this week to help pay for nearly three months worth of salaries to keep the QRT’s work going.
