Several migratory bird hunting seasons are now open across West Virginia. According to the Division of Natural Resources, duck, coot, gallinule, and merganser hunting runs from October 4th through the 12th. Canada, white-fronted, snow, and blue goose seasons run through October 19th. Hunters must have a federal migratory bird stamp and HIP registration. Regulations and season details are available online at WVhunt.com. Any banded birds harvested should be reported at reportband.gov.
