New WVU President delivers first State of the University address

West Virginia University president Michael Benson delivered his first State of the University address in Morgantown on Monday. Benson comes to West Virginia from Coastal Carolina and was selected to lead WVU back in February after Gordon Gee announced his retirement. Benson shared updates on the university’s strategic planning, competition with other universities and campus life. In addition, Benson announced a holiday lighting party is scheduled for campus on Dec. 2.
