Ohio booster club treasurer is convicted of embezzling funds

A former school booster treasurer in Jackson County, Ohio, is headed to prison for stealing more than $40,000 from the group. State officials say 46-year-old Lisa Frisby of Wellston was sentenced to two years behind bars after being convicted of theft and communications fraud. Investigators say she embezzled the money from the Wellston City Schools football boosters over five years for personal use. Frisby was ordered to pay more than $40,000 in restitution to the Golden Rocket Athletic Boosters.
