A man on federal parole was taken into custody Monday in Huntington after police said he was in possession of drugs and a loaded handgun. Terry Cox was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm following a traffic stop, according to a news release from the Huntington Police Department. Eyewitness News reported Cox was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped in the 1300 block of Madison Avenue and officers found “distributable quantities” of drugs. The news release said he has been arrested twice while on parole related to a 2019 firearms conviction. Cox is currently being held on a $75,000 cash-only bond.
