The debate over where residents can park boats, RVs, and side-by-sides in St. Albans continued Monday night. City Council members discussed whether to move the parking setback from four feet to 15 feet from the road. The Planning and Zoning Committee had already rejected the proposed change after public pushback, but some residents argued the larger setback is needed for safety and visibility. In a split decision, the council voted to keep the current four-foot rule in place. The ordinance now heads to the ordinance committee for review.
