A teenage driver died in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Kanawha County. According to deputies, the wreck occurred in the 7100 block of Rocky Fork Road in the Sissonville area about 4 p.m. The news release from the Kanawha County sheriff said a 17-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling toward Cross Lanes when it drifted off course and sharply corrected. Investigators said the vehicle left the roadway, went into a ravine, landed on its side and struck a tree. Law enforcement, fire crews and EMS remained on scene for the investigation.
