Deputies in Berkeley County have charged a Martinsburg man in the shooting death of a two-year-old child in the Eastern Panhandle. Investigators say 29-year-old Zachary Allen O’Sullivan is charged with child neglect resulting in death. Deputies were called Friday to Needmore Road, where they found the toddler with a gunshot wound. First responders tried to save the child, but he died at the scene. O’Sullivan has since been released on a twenty-five-thousand-dollar bond. The sheriff’s office says the case remains under active investigation.
