The International Film Festival returns to Charleston this year with its first full-length event in six years, featuring international and West Virginia films at Park Place Cinemas and the Floralee Hark Cohen Cinema.
The festival opens with Ireland West Camino: A Pilgrimage Reborn, a documentary shot by University of Charleston Digital Media Storyteller Thomas Breiter. The film follows pilgrims retracing a 181-kilometer traditional pilgrimage in western Ireland.
The film screens Friday, November 14, at 6:30 p.m. at Park Place Cinemas.
This year’s festival features films from Spain, Slovakia, Norway, Ireland, China, and Brazil, along with workshops and social events. Full details are available on the WVIFF website.
