Charleston man hits pedestrian,

A Charleston man has been charged after allegedly hitting a pedestrian with his vehicle while intoxicated, records said.Roy Eagle, 70, of Charleston, was arrested Wednesday evening, according to a criminal complaint filed to Kanawha County Magistrate Court.Police said they responded to a call that a pedestrian might have been hit by a vehicle near the Piggly Wiggly on Spring Street in Charleston. Officers on scene said they had spoken with the Charleston Fire Department, who said the pedestrian may have suffered a broken femur. Witnesses said that the driver of the vehicle smelled of alcohol, who police said later identified as Eagle. The complaint states that Eagle was arrested after he was given a field sobriety test. Police also said that he was offered and agreed to a blood sample, which was later submitted for testing.
