A Kanawha County deputy’s cruiser was involved in a crash Friday afternoon. The sheriff’s office said in a news release that witness statements and video evidence suggest the second vehicle involved in the incident ran a red light in front of the deputy’s cruiser. The crash was reported at the intersection of Kanawha Terrace and Walnut Street. The deputy was not injured in the incident. According to the press release the driver of the second vehicle reported minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital, The crash remains under investigation.
