Marshall University President visits local schools

Marshall University President Brad Smith visited high schools in Kanawha and Putnam Counties, sharing info on the university’s 150 programs and the Marshall Direct automatic admission program for eligible students. At Hurricane and South Charleston High Schools, Smith encouraged students to pursue careers in fields like cybersecurity, healthcare, and aviation—all without leaving West Virginia. Students also heard from SCHS alum and current medical student Gabrielle Potter and got photos with Marshall’s mascot, Marco.
