Pigs on the loose are being relocated to Tyler County

More than 30 pigs and piglets that had been running loose and damaging property in Kanawha County are being moved to a new home. The Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association says the animals are being relocated to a farm in Tyler County after being rounded up with help from the West Virginia Department of Agriculture. Last week, residents in the Diamond and Belle areas flooded officials with calls about the pigs roaming through neighborhoods. Deputies charged a woman with a second-offense livestock trespassing misdemeanor. The Humane Association says the pigs had been abandoned and were “just trying to survive.”
