West Virginia’s sale of its four state-run long-term care facilities is now complete. Governor Patrick Morrisey confirmed the $60 million sale to Marx Development Group, calling it a major step toward modernizing healthcare services. The facilities include Hopemont, Jackie Withrow, John Manchin Sr., and Lakin hospitals. A judge lifted a restraining order earlier this week, clearing the way for the deal. State officials say all employees will keep their jobs, pay, and tenure under the new ownership.
