Additional charges against shooter of National Guard members

The suspect in the November shooting of two West Virginia National Guard members in Washington, D.C. faces more felony charges. According to a criminal complaint filed to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, of Afghanistan now faces numerous charges: First-degree premeditated murder while armed. Assault with intent to kill while armed, Possession of a firearm during crime . of violence or dangerous offense and several more Lakanwal is accused of fatally shooting U.S. Army Spc. Sarah Beckstrom and shooting SSgt. Andrew Wolfe on Nov. 26 near the Farragut Square Metro Station in Washington, D.C., near the White House. Beckstrom, 20, died the next day from her injuries, while Wolfe, 24, continues to make progress in his recovery, recently being transferred to a rehabilitation facility for further treatment.
