Man brutally beats 12 week old puppy

Court records allege a West Virginia man “intentionally tortured and mutilated” a puppy “for the primary purpose of inflicting pain.” Jeremy Michael Ganocy, 35, of Morgantown has been charged with animal cruelty, according to a criminal complaint filed in Monongalia County Magistrate Court. The complaint said on Dec. 12, law enforcement was dispatched to an Alpine Street address after a caller accused Ganocy of beating a 12-week-old puppy. According to the complaint, Ganocy allegedly beat the dog after the animal had defecated and urinated inside the home. Records say the dog was taken to Cheat Lake Animal Hospital after suffering multiple injuries. Three broken ribs, Fractured rear leg, Bruised spine, Collapsed lung, Eye hemorrhaging, Nose bleed. Records said the dog would require thousands of dollars in care, including an amputation of the injured leg. Ganocy is being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $100,000 surety/cash bail.
