Nearly seven years after the death of her daughter, a Boone County mother says she’s still searching for answers.
Meagan Reed went missing in August of 2018. Her body was later found in a creek along Prenter Road in the Seth area and was identified by tattoos. She was twenty-eight years old.
While Reed’s death was ruled a fentanyl overdose, her mother, Alice Cooper, believes foul play may be involved and says her daughter did not end up there on her own.
Boone County Sheriff Chad Barker says the case remains active and investigators believe someone has information.
