U.S. Senators Jim Justice and Ruben Gallego of Arizona are introducing a bipartisan resolution to recognize December 6, 2025, as this year’s National Miners Day. The designation would recognize current, former and retired miners, as well as those who lost their lives in mining accidents or occupational illnesses, according to the Mine Safety and Health Administration.
