Where to take old Christmas trees for repurposing

When you are ready to let go of your Christmas tree, you can drop off natural Christmas trees free of ornaments, tinsel and metal screws, in the far left corner of the outdoor market for recycling from December. 26 through January 11, according to a news release from the Capitol Market. Trees that are recycled will be turned into mulch for use along the Carriage Trail in Charleston among other things. The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources will repurpose additional trees to create fish habitats at the bottom of lakes to support aquatic ecosystems throughout the state.
