Woman’s wallet stolen from cart at Kroger

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said it is seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects that allegedly stole a woman’s wallet from a grocery store and used it to make fraudulent transactions on a betting app.Deputies said a woman left her wallet in a shopping cart in the parking lot of the Kroger in Marmet. A four-door sedan arrived, described as silver in color, and the person sitting in the front passenger seat took the wallet, according to a release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said one of the suspects later used the victim’s debit card to make multiple fraudulent transactions on the sports betting app DraftKings.
