Deputies in Putnam County are warning area residents of scam phone calls circulating the area.In a recent social media post, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department outlined new angles for jury duty scams that aim to defraud targets.The post said scammers posing as police officers are claiming a warrant has been issued for missed jury duty and monetary compensation is needed to settle the matter.Deputies warn scam callers are mentioning fraudulent gag orders and reading Miranda rights in order to increase pressure on targets.
