Suspect is arrested for breaking into a St. Albans gas station

A Charleston man has been arrested in connection with multiple break-ins at the same St. Albans gas station.
The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office says 53-year-old David Douglas Steadman is charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny.

Deputies say a Par Mar gas station on MacCorkle Avenue was first broken into in September, when cigarettes worth less than a thousand dollars were stolen. The store was hit again in late December, this time with more than a thousand dollars in cigarettes and vape products taken.

Investigators identified Steadman as the suspect, and deputies say he later confessed. He’s being held on a ten-thousand-dollar bond.
