Columbus woman is sentenced to prison for her role in overdose deaths

A Columbus, OH woman who admitted to a series of killings has been sentenced to at least 60 years in prison.

In December, Rebecca Auborn pleaded guilty to four counts of murder and one count of felonious assault in connection with the overdose deaths of four men and the attempted overdose of a fifth.

Prosecutors say Auborn intentionally gave the victims lethal amounts of drugs in the North Linden area of Columbus. The incidents happened between December 2022 and June 2023 near Interstate 71, State Route 61, Cleveland Avenue and East 17th Avenue.

Those who died include Joseph Crumpler, Robert Snoke, Wayne Akin and Guy Renda. One additional victim survived.

Auborn was originally indicted in October 2023 on nearly 30 charges before reaching a plea agreement.
