Huntington Police warn of fentanyl-laced tablets that look like vitamins

Police in Huntington issued a public safety alert this week after seizing hundreds of fentanyl-laced tablets.

Huntington PD said on social media that investigators recovered more than 900 brightly colored tablets molded into characters from the Transformers series. Testing confirmed the pills contained both MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy, and fentanyl.

Officials warned that while MDMA carries serious health risks on its own, the addition of fentanyl significantly increases the chance of overdose and death. Authorities said the tablets are often sold as ecstasy in street-level deals and club settings, and even a single pill could be fatal.

The pills are about the size of a vitamin and resemble candy. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Huntington Police.
