Parents with children enrolled at Morris Enrichment Center in Kanawha City are scrambling to find new child care after learning the center will close much sooner than expected.
The center announced Friday it will permanently shut down on February 13, reversing earlier plans to stay open through the end of May. Eyewitness News said several parents have little time to make arrangements.
State records show the center was placed under a corrective action plan by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services last year, though it’s unclear whether that plan was completed.
