Appalachian Power announces new President

U.S. Sen. Jim Justice’s chief of staff, Brian Abraham, is set to become president and COO of Appalachian Power starting April 13. Abraham worked with Justice during his second term as governor and followed him to Washington.

Abraham also served as Logan County’s prosecuting attorney, a special assistant U.S. attorney, and retired as a brigadier general after more than 20 years in the Army. He’ll replace Aaron Walker, who moves to vice president of engineering and quality of nuclear development. Appalachian Power has nearly 2,900 employees and serves more than a million customers across West Virginia, Virginia, and Tennessee.
