Crossbow shooting suspect is arrested as the victim remains in the hospitla

Deputies say a man accused in a crossbow shooting in Jackson County, West Virginia, is now in custody.

Investigators arrested Chase Fleming after a pursuit that crossed into neighboring Roane County.

They say Fleming shot his father in the face with a crossbow around 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Kenna area.

The victim survived and is listed in stable condition. ABC 8 said Fleming was taken to a hospital for observation and is now charged with malicious assault.
