DOT launches new website to help residents keep track of road projects

A new online map is giving West Virginians a better look at where road work is happening across the state.

The West Virginia Department of Transportation says its Division of Highways project map has been updated for 2026. The interactive tool shows road and bridge projects that are planned, currently underway or already completed.

The new version lets users see the type of work being done, including pothole patching, ditching and mowing, along with estimated project timelines.

As of this week, the map lists more than 1,400 completed projects, along with hundreds that are active or planned.
