Patrick Morrisey wins primary bid for the state’s top office

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey won the GOP primary for governor, according to the Associated Press. Morrisey is currently the state’s three-term attorney general who took office in 2013. Morrisey worked as a lawyer in Washington D.C. for eight years prior to that. Morrisey defeated businessman Chris Miller along with former delegate Moore Capito.
