Jackson County Reports Coronavirus-Related Death

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources said 29 more novel coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the state, bringing the current total to 191. As of April 1, 4,575 residents have been tested for COVID-19 with 4,384 negative results and one death. Kanawha County has the most positve cases in the state, with 37 as of Wednesday.

The Jackson County Health Department confirmed the death of a resident. The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources said the patient had several underlying health issues and passed away in a hospital.
