Kanawha County’s positive COVID-19 total increased Thursday morning by two cases. The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department’s website listed 177 total virus cases and 88 of those cases are active and 89 are closed. On Wednesday, Dr. Sherri Young, director of the health department, announced that four day care workers at separate facilities tested positive for the virus during drive-thru testing. According to the state Department of Health and Human Resources’ website, Kanawha County has the most positive virus cases, closely followed by Berkeley County.
