Kanawha County deputies said 33-year old Joseph Allen Parker of Campbells Creek, has been charged with attempted murder of his 80-year-old grandmother. Deputies said Parker went to his grandmother’s home in the 300 block of Gap View Drive on Campbells Creek just before 2:00 a.m. Thursday morning. While she was on the phone with 911 dispatchers, he got into the home. Deputies said he attacked her with a knife and stabbed her in the head. Kanawha County deputies found Joseph Parker walking on Gap View Drive, about a mile away from the home and arrested him. The grandmother was taken the hospital and is stable.
