West Virginia State University announced Monday it will have a modified academic calendar for the fall 2020 semester. The university plans to hold face-to-face classes when it begins the fall semester on Monday, Aug. 10 and the semester will conclude Friday, Nov. 20, before its Thanksgiving break. Finals will take place the week of Nov. 16-20 and fall commencement will be Saturday, Nov. 21. After Thanksgiving break, students will not need to return until the spring semester begins Jan. 19, 2021.
