The Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center will be under new management. The city council gave the green light for the board to enter into a five-year agreement with OVG Facilities, LLC and they’ll perform all day-to-day management for both the Coliseum & Convention Center and Municipal Auditorium. That includes booking events and adding sponsorship. The Board of Directors will supervise, and approve budgets, capital expenditures, and contracts. OVG has more than a thousand employees and runs seventy event centers.
