Employees at a hardware store in Charleston said a gunman shot an employee after a shoplifting incident. Workers at Pile Hardware on Washington Street West said the suspect came into the store Thursday morning and was not wearing a mask. Two employees tried to detain him for shoplifting and that’s when one worker was shot in the leg. The injury is not life-threatening. The suspect ran from the store and was found a few blocks away inside the West Side Market.
