Recycling services started up again this week after COVID-19 stopped them temporarily at the plant in Beckley. Charleston’s Recycling Committee also has plans to create a Green Team in Charleston that would follow the model that is in place in cities like Morgantown. The mayor would appoint several community members to be on a team that would offer recommendations and support for green initiatives and policies. The city council will have to give final approval to starting the Green Team.
