On Saturday’s weekly school re-entry map there were seven counties in gold, including Cabell, Putnam, Kanawha, Jackson, Barbour, Randolph and Berkeley. The West Virginia Department of Education said Cabell County moved from green to gold while Putnam County moved from yellow to gold. The gold designation means schools can begin, resume or continue in-person schooling and sporting events. Face coverings will be required at all times for students in grades 3-12.
