A Kanawha County man accused in a fatal shooting pleaded guilty in the case. Douglas “Fatty” Kidd III of Nitro pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and he’ll be sentenced Nov. 2. Kidd was arrested in the fatal shooting of James Taylor Morris of Jefferson, who was shot in the neck at a home in the 6700 block of MacCorkle Avenue in 2018.
